Students

As a BCC student, you have access to a wide range of library services and resources. Here's what you can do:

Library Access & Borrowing

  • Get Your Student ID & Library Card: Use your student ID number to obtain your student ID and library borrowing card.

  • Borrow Library Materials: You may check out up to 5 items at a time from the library's circulating collection. The standard loan period is 4 weeks.

  • Use Course Reserve Textbooks: Access textbooks placed on reserve by instructors—available for in-library use only.

  • Interlibrary Loan (ILL):

    • Request up to 5 items (part of your 5-item total) from other North Carolina community college libraries through the NCCC Evergreen system.

    • If BCC Library doesn’t own the item you need, you can request it via interlibrary loan.

Technology & Printing Services

  • Computer Access: Check in using the iPads at the Circulation Desk each time you use a library computer.

  • Laptop Loaner Program: Borrow or reserve a laptop through our Laptop Loaner Program. See our Computers & Printing Policy for more details.

  • Printing: Print up to 50 pages per day for free. After that, each page costs $0.10. Refer to our Computers & Printing Policy for full guidelines.

  • Copying & Scanning: Use our copier/scanner to make copies or scan documents. Scans can be emailed or saved to a flash drive.
