As a BCC student, you have access to a wide range of library services and resources. Here's what you can do:
Library Access & Borrowing
Get Your Student ID & Library Card: Use your student ID number to obtain your student ID and library borrowing card.
Borrow Library Materials: You may check out up to 5 items at a time from the library's circulating collection. The standard loan period is 4 weeks.
Use Course Reserve Textbooks: Access textbooks placed on reserve by instructors—available for in-library use only.
Interlibrary Loan (ILL):
Request up to 5 items (part of your 5-item total) from other North Carolina community college libraries through the NCCC Evergreen system.
If BCC Library doesn’t own the item you need, you can request it via interlibrary loan.
Technology & Printing Services
Computer Access: Check in using the iPads at the Circulation Desk each time you use a library computer.
Laptop Loaner Program: Borrow or reserve a laptop through our Laptop Loaner Program. See our Computers & Printing Policy for more details.
Printing: Print up to 50 pages per day for free. After that, each page costs $0.10. Refer to our Computers & Printing Policy for full guidelines.
Copying & Scanning: Use our copier/scanner to make copies or scan documents. Scans can be emailed or saved to a flash drive.
Library Spaces & Support
Reserve Study Rooms & Conference Room: Book private spaces for individual or group study, or for meetings and presentations.
Research Help: Schedule a one-on-one research appointment with a librarian for personalized assistance.
Material Suggestions: Recommend books or other resources for the library to consider purchasing.
